Dromtariffe complete hat trick of u21 hurling titles

Dromtariffe 4-19, Robert Emmets 3-10 

Dromtariffe maintained their grip of the Central Stores, Kanturk Duhallow U21B Hurling Championship after overcoming Robert Emmets at Banteer.

Collecting their 3rd consecutive title, the defending champions laid the groundwork in a productive opening half of fast and attacking hurling. The delayed 2018 decider saw Tomás Howard goal early as did Daniel Desmond with a brace.

Emmets stemmed the tide briefly, defender Seán Meehan netted yet Dromtariffe made light of the setback, Conor Cremin blasted home a fourth goal for Dromtariffe enjoy a commanding 4-11 to 1-5 advantage at the break.

A wind assisted Emmets resumed in sprightly fashion, Meehan netted two goals to complete a hat trick that reduced the deficit to nine points. Still, Dromtariffe had a bit in hand and applied the bulk of the pressure during thr latter stages.

*After the full time whistle, Steven Lynch, Vice Chairman, Duhallow Junior Board presented the silverware to Dromtariffe captain Jack Buckley.
