Dromtariffe 2-20, Banteer 3-14

DROMTARIFFE survived a testing hour from Banteer to add their name to the Twohigs Supervalu Duhallow JAHL after a cracking decider played in Kilbrin.

Both sides gave it everything, no quarter asked or given, the intensity on display made this a contest to savour.

From a hectic opening half, a Denis Roche goal to Banteer ensured keen exchanges between the neighbours. Dromtariffe thundered into the picture from goals by Daniel O’Keeffe and Conor Cremin.

Banteer weathered the storm, a pair of goals from David Murphy cut the arrears 2-15 to 3-6 at the end of a high scoring opening half. On the restart, Dromtariffe added to their tally yet Banteer sparked a comeback with Roche capitalising on Dromtariffe indiscipline.

Crucially, Dromtariffe never lost their composure and late points from Tomás Howard sealed a rewarding outing.
