Boherbue put their E Tarrant and Sons Skoda Dealer Duhallow  JAFC title on the line when they face Lyre in a first time meeting between the pair in a final at Castlemagner on this Sunday evening(7pm throw in).

Boherbue have remained unbeatable during the past three campaigns, numerous challengers have failed to better Boherbue’s slick inter-passing play, cohesive teamwork, collective work-rate and scoring power.

That said, Boherbue required replays to better both Knocknagree and Dromtariffe in the past two finals, those defeated sides subsequently showed no ill effects to recover and take county titles. Opponents Lyre don’t surrender too easily and its been the hallmarks of a remarkable journey in the current decade.

At their first attempt, Lyre put their name on the Cup in 2010 when upsetting the formbook to overcome Kanturk before adding to their tally three years later by warding off a late Cullen rally. Their previous appearance in a final came in 2015 when Lyre drew with a fancied Knocknagree only to incur a defeat in a replay.
